Marilyn Armetta Dixon was born on May 17, 1960 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of George Edwin Dixon and Marilyn Jean Rowan. Marilyn loved her family and friends so much, and she loved spending time with all of them. Marilyn loved unconditionally, and she never failed to give you a big hug and tell you she loves you when she would see you. Marilyn was a very loving person that didn't meet a stranger; only another friend. She was always willing to help anyone in any way that she could. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, singing and dancing, Wal-Mart, lottery tickets, garage sales, and margaritas. Marilyn passed away early Tuesday morning, December 21, 2021 in McKinney, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Marilyn is survived by her partner, Dale Yarbro of Blue Ridge, Texas; two sons, George "Willie" Williams and Jeffrey Williams, both of Princeton, Texas; two grandsons, Justin Williams of Granite Falls, Washington and Damon Williams of Blue Ridge, Texas; one bother, Mickey Dixon and wife, Kathy of Princeton, Texas; four sisters, Leta Gaddis and husband, Wayne of Bristol, Texas, Delores Glover and husband, Rick of Princeton, Texas, Sheila Lockhart and husband, Robert of McKinney, Texas, and Becky Welborn and husband, Stephen of Princeton, Texas; six nieces; six nephews; twenty four great-nieces and nephews; two great-great nephews; and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in McKinney, Texas with Derek Smith officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at the Payne Cemetery in Eustace, Texas. Pallbearers will be Justin Williams, Damon Williams, Andrew Glover, Chris Glover, John Dixon, Colton Malone, Cason Malone, and Jacob Laverrenz.
