Margie Nixon

February 26, 1941 — June 1, 2020

Margie was born in Brownwood, Texas on February 26,1941, to Lonnie & Myrtle Fletcher. She was the youngest of 9 children. She graduated from Rockwall High School in 1959, and married her High School Sweetheart, Clarence, in 1961. She had 2 children, Shannon and Daniel.

Margie worked at Collins Radio, was a preschool teacher at Second Baptist Church for many years, and also worked as Computer Lab Manager at Naaman Forest High School. She was a faithful and devoted Christian who loved her family deeply. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and the Texas Rangers. She regularly hosted ladies game nights and was a competitive player. Her passion was road trips and antiquing. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Margie is survived by daughter, Shannon Propst and husband Scott; son; Daniel Nixon and wife Shannon; grandchildren; Krist Mikulec, Kaylee Barksdale, Jordan Nixon, and Hannah Heidrich; sister; Billie Peters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margie is preceded in death by her husband; Clarance Nixon; sisters; Audie B. Beckett, Ruby Freeland, and Imogene Thayer; and brothers; Sonnie Fletcher, Grady Fletcher, and Curtis Fletcher.
