Marc Laine Starling

Marc, 77, of Gainesville, Texas passed away early Saturday morning with her children by her side. Born to Henry Otto Starling and Dhal Blake Fletcher in Dallas, Texas on May 17, 1945, she has made Cooke County her home since 2003. She loved living in Gainesville and had a passion for gardening, crocheting, sewing and canning. She was an avid reader of Louis L'Amour novels and was known to enjoy an occasional Weller & Water.

Marc retired from Atlantic Richfield Company in 1992 and went on to obtain an Associate's Degree in Social Services. She then worked for several years in administrative positions in the hospital and justice fields before staying home full time.

Marc was a devoted mother, loving grandmother and cherished friend to many. She is survived by her daughter, Tami Lynell Church and husband Thomas; son Edwin Dennis Creswell, Jr. and wife Nadine; brother, Larry Starling and wife Mildred; grandchildren Stephanie Hampton, Julie Heng, Dominique Crozier, Bridget Lenamon, Blake Creswell, and Austin Creswell; great grandchildren, Cooper, Barrett, Ava, Lux and Noctis; and many nieces and nephews.
