Mao Van Tran

Mao Van Tran, age 67 of Garland, TX, passed away on August 19, 2016 in Garland, TX. He was born on August 6, 1949 in Bui Chu, Vietnam to Vat Van Tran and Tam Thi Tran. Mao married Ngoan Thi Nguyen on September 19, 1967 in Ben Da, Vung Tau of Vietnam. He was a hard working business entrepreneur who truly enjoyed life and time well spent with his family and friends. Most of his spare time was spent at his community of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Garland, TX where he served as a dedicated parishioner of over 25 years.

Mao is survived by his loving wife Ngoan Tran, his three daughters, Ha, Hue and husband, Jeff, and Mary and husband, Christian; sons, Hoang, Hiep and wife, Lan, Hien, and Huy; eight grandchildren, Chloe, Kaden, Joshua, Kira, Celeste, Emma, Ian, and James; godsons Quang and wife, Dao and Hoa; three grand-godsons Andrew, Chad and Nathan. They will extremely miss his funny jokes, fabulous singing and charismatic personality!

Prayer sessions will be held from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M., Thursday, August 25, 2016 and from 10:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M., Friday, August 26, 2016 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Sachse, TX. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 A.M., Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Garland, TX.
