Maria Magdalena “Magda” Houk,70 years old, ofMcKinney, Texas, passed away onFebruary 6, 2017.
Magdawas born inCerritos, San Luis Potosi, Mexico,onMarch 30, 1946. She was the daughter of Julia Rodriguez Vigil and Cirilo Zuniga.
Magda moved to McKinney, Texas, in 1969, and was married to T.A. Tredway. They owned and operated El Sombrero restaurant for 14 years. She laterworked at the Collin County clerk’s office, and Eldorado Country Club.
Magdamet Marion “Moe” Houk in 1989, and they were married July 25, 1998. They were married16 years. She enjoyed doing word searches every day, Mariachis, and she loved traveling with Moe.
Magda is survived byher daughter, Claudia Tredway Webb and Keith Maxson; her grandchildren: Sydney Webb, 16; Logan Webb, 14; and Finley Webb, 10; her siblings: Maria Guadalupe Zuniga Vigil, Virgina Zuniga Vigil, Maria De Los Angelas Zuniga de Cantu, Martha Elba Zuniga Vigil, Blanca R. Lozano, Jose Rodriguez, Jr., and Marbelia Rodriguez, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Magda is preceded in death by Julia Rodriguez Vigil and her brother, Heriberto “Beto” Zuniga Vigil.
Magda’s family wishes to thankFAITH Presbyterian Hospice and her sisters for being by her side.
