Mack Franklin Smith, age 81, passed away on March 9, 2016 in Dallas, TX. Mack was born April 5, 1934 in Vivian, LA to Lester and Bonnie (Cross) Smith. He lived in Larue, TX with his wife, Daisy. Mack served in the U.S. Army and worked as a truck driver all of his life. He was a member of Freeman Heights Baptist Church, as well as Westlake Baptist Church in Chandler, TX. Mack played the guitar and loved country, blue grass and gospel music.He is survived by his wife, Daisy Smith; sons, James Smith and wife, Lori, and Allan Smith and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Bradley Smith and wife, Joy, Erica Brown and husband, Adam, Kellea Smith, Tanner Smith and wife, Layce and Kenneth Smith and wife, Monica; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jaiz, Nathan, Jordan and Micah; brother, Jack Smith and wife, Virginia; sister, Mary Nell Hardage.Family visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Freeman Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Freeman Heights Baptist Church, 1120 N. Garland Rd., Garland, TX with Rev. Larry Venable, Rev. Mark Booker and Rev. Frankie McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow at 4:30 P.M., Saturday at Center Ridge Cemetery in Maud, TX.
