Lyndel Arlene Weathers Trosclair, born on July 6, 1939 in Galveston County, Texas, to Evalyn and Lynn Weathers, died Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012 at the age of 72.
She is survived by her son, David Trosclair and his wife, Debbie Trosclair, of Wylie, TX; her daughter-in-law, Carol Trosclair of Deer Park, TX; grandchildren, Michelle Botkin and her husband, Doug Botkin, of Pearland, TX, Michael Trosclair of Houston, TX, Brittany Trosclair of Deer Park, TX, Justin Trosclair and his wife, Brandi Trosclair, of McKinney, TX, Cody Trosclair of Deer Park, TX, Colton Trosclair of Wylie, TX; and her great-grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Botkin and Kaden Paul Trosclair. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, loving nephews and nieces, and countless dear friends.
She bravely fought a tough battle with many health issues over the past few years, including breast cancer and lymphedema. She unexpectedly lost that battle on May 2nd, 2012, to intracranial bleeding due to a fall, and she went to be with her beloved husband, Paul Trosclair, and children, Elizabeth Ann Trosclair, Curtis Trosclair, and Greg Trosclair. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Darlene Carwile.
She lived the last 9 years in Wylie, TX with her son and his family, and she attended The Bridge Church in Lavon TX. Prior to that she lived in San Angelo, TX and prior to that she was a long time resident of Texas City, TX, where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she made many friends and enjoyed teaching. She previously worked for the Texas City Daily Sun, and later at Bill’s Sebring Salon.
She was a loving, kind person and never met a stranger. She enjoyed getting to intimately know each and every person she came in contact with. She also enjoyed her pets, Misty, Shorty, and Indy. They will miss all of the treats that she used to sneak them.
Known as Nana, she was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She had many long conversations with her grandchildren and had many "secrets" with each of them. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her eye.
A Memorial "Celebration" of her life will be held at a later date. In the meantime, please pray for her and remember the wonderful times you spent with her.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
