My Mom was the most devoted person I've ever known. She was always there for Dad and I through all the good times and bad. She was a source of strength to help us when we struggled and to offer praise when we succeeded.
She had a great love of gardens and wildlife. Her gardens were a wonder to behold and we passed many a pleasant hour among them. She was also very fond of raising and showing dogs and there was always an Akita or Shepard around as part of our familiy.
Although she was born in New Hampshire, she spent most of her adult life in New Orleans and loved it dearly. She loved the culture, the food and people of New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina drove my parents away from New Orleans and they settled here in Wylie, Texas. Mom always missed New Orleans but enjoyed the friendly and outgoing culture here in Texas. She would even look forward to the OU/ Longhorns game each year.
I always enoyed our weekends together and Sunday mornings were something special for both of us. I will miss her greatly.
