Loretta Jean Edgar

In loving memory of Loretta Jean Cox Camillo Edgar, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Loretta, at the age of 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the morning of Thanksgiving Day, November 24th, 2016. She was surrounded by her family in the home of her son in Frisco, TX. Loretta was one of six children born to Miller L. Cox and Hazel L. Cox of Albuquerque, NM. She was born in San Jose, NM on August 30th, 1938.



In her lifetime, she had many jobs including grocery store cashier, seamstress and convenience store manager. Loretta enjoyed playing board and card games with her family, jigsaw and Sudoku puzzles, and reading her Bible. She was a member of Victory Life Church in Durant, Ok. and was able to continue attending through their live online sermons.



Loretta was preceded in death by her infant son Victor Camillo; father and mother; and two sisters, Nadine MacDonald and Alice Brannen.



She is survived by her sister Mary Jo Juul of Roswell, NM; two brothers, Cecil Cox and Dean Cox and wife Irene of Albuquerque, NM; three sons, Frank Camillo and wife Ruth of Anna, TX, Keith Edgar and wife Carla of Frisco, TX, and Randall Edgar and wife Jeanette of McKinney, TX; three daughters, Peggy Hix and husband David of Bonham, TX, Laura Medders and husband Eric of Melissa, TX and Kari Farley and husband Kevin of DeSoto, KS; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.



She had requested no funeral service. A small memorial gathering of family and friends was held at the home of her son Keith Edgar. Her family looks forward to seeing her again in the resurrection.
