Lonnie James Honea

Lonnie James Honea, 54, a resident of Princeton, TX, passed away on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 in McKinney, Texas. Lonnie was a retired Catholic Priest. He served at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Richardson, Texas in the 1990's. Lonnie's patron saints were St. Theresa and Joan of Arc. He was a nurse for 10 plus years prior to going to college to become a priest.

During his free time, he loved to read and enjoy his 2 fur babies: Winston and Fred. Lonnie had a bachelor's degree as well as 2 Masters. Lonnie was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many.

Lonnie is survived by sisters Ronda Welborn (Tony husband) and Rebecca Welborn (husband Moe), 1 nephew Race Welborn and a sister Cookie Arroyo (husband David). Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents George and Dorothy Honea and his God Mother Eddy Culberson.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later day at St Michael the Archangel, 411 Paula Rd, McKinney, TX 75069 with Father Eugene officiating.
