L.M. Polser

LM Polser of McKinney, Texas passed away at the age of 92 on June 25, 2015 at Hinton Home in Farmersville, Texas. LM was born January 6, 1923 to David and Maggie Polser and grew up in Frisco, Texas. He married Nellie Ruth Polser on July 11, 1940. LM was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas.
Family visitation is scheduled for Sunday June 28th from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home located at 601 N. Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Sunday June 28th at 4:00 pm at Ridgeview Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 2525 S. Central Expressway in Allen, Texas.
LM served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII from 1944-1947. While serving his country he was granted the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal with one Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, and the World War II Victory Medal.
LM's legacy will be carried on through his loving family: Sons Ricky Polser (Donna) of Leonard, Texas and Larry Norman Polser (Wanda) of McKinney, Texas, daughter Connie Derryberry (Richard) of San Antonio, Texas. Grandchildren: Chris Polser (Shana) and their children John, Henry and James Polser all of Leonard, Texas. Jeffrey Polser (Kelsey Donovan) of Fort Worth, Texas, Cherie McCracken (Jay) and their children David, James and Megan. Ashley Polser of McKinney, Texas, Cathy Cornell (Bill) and their son Jeremy, Richard Derryberry (Ann Thompson) and their children Cherie, Cheryl and Connie, Carrie Clark (Rich) and their children Tracy and Zoe along with five great-great grandchildren. Numerous loving cousins, nephews and friends, along with his family by choice at Hinton Home in Farmersville, Texas.
LM is preceded in death by his spouse Nellie Ruth Polser (2000) and his parents David and Maggie Polser and his three sisters.
LM was a wonderful and loving man. Everyone that met him would say LM is such a nice person. He has left a legacy of beautiful memories for his loving family and friends. May you now rest in peace. We love you dearly Daddy and you were an awesome Papa.
