Lisa Beth Hatteberg was born in Bryan, Texas, on February 11, 1960 to Don and Norma Cunningham. Lisa graduated from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1978. After graduation, Lisa attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois until 1980 where she met and married the love of her life Greg Hatteberg. They married in August 1980 at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Later she graduated from Moody Bible Institute 1983.
In 1984, Lisa and Greg moved to Dallas where Greg attended Dallas Theological Seminary. It was during their first semester at seminary that Lisa was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She battled for 34 years, bedridden for 20 of those years.
Lisa and Greg were Junior High youth sponsors at Grace Bible Church in Dallas until 1986. After serving in the youth ministry they moved to North Highlands Bible Church in Dallas who graciously and sacrificially ministered to the Hatteberg Family. They are still members to this day.
Lisa's love for the Lord began early in life when Mike Lawson, one of the pastors at her church, introduced her to a saving faith in her gentle Savior. Lisa enjoyed being a mom, needle point, cross-stitch, and quilting. Her greatest ministry was as a prayer warrior who brought the needs of others before the throne of her Lord. It was her joy to daily intercede on their behalf. During her time of being confined to a bed, she was enriched and encouraged twenty-four hours a day by Moody Radio Network, an internet station of Moody Bible Institute.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Gregory Allen Hatteberg; her four kids- son Luke Hatteberg, his wife Abby, and Lisa's two grandbabies, Everlee and Colette; daughter Sara Beth Hatteberg; daughter Jill Harris and her husband Daniel; son David Hatteberg and his wife Kristin; her parents Don and Norma Cunningham; her siblings- sister Sherry Peters and husband Bob and children Ashley and her husband Ed, Brittany and her husband Dennis, Stephanie and her husband Josh, and Emily; sister Laurie Cunningham; sister Stacy Spikes and her husband Michael; brother Donnie Cunningham and wife Lori, and children Garret, Colton and Daylan; brother Scott Cunningham and his wife Robin and children Brandon, Brian and Brady; and brother Brad Cunningham.
