Leonard "Sonny" Thomas

Leonard "Sonny" Thomas, 78, of McKinney, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 8th, 2018 in McKinney, Texas. Sonny was born in McKinney, Texas to Homer and Bertha Mae (Smith) Thomas on June 29th, 1939. Sonny was a master plumber having worked for McKinney ISD and Bewley Plumbing for a combined 38 years. Sonny was currently the Director/Caretaker of Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Lowry Crossing, Tx. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Betty Rose and Winnie Parr and a nephew Ronnie Rose.

Sonny is survived by his girlfriend Debbie Wilson, stepson Michael Ellis, nephews Gary Parr, Donnie Rose and nieces Connie Parr and Debbie Spears. Also, 7 great nephews and 4 great nieces and 1 great-great niece.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 14th, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home located at 601 S. Tennessee St, McKinney, TX 75069 on Friday, June 15th at 10:00 a.m. with burial immediately following at Wilson Chapel Cemetery, Lowry Crossing, TX
