Leonard L. Holden, aged 73, of Mesquite, TX, passed away September 15th at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas following a lengthy illness. Len was born in Moultrie, Georgia to Gordon L. Holden and Hilda Harden Holden. He was an only child. He was predeceased by his parents. He leaves to grieve him his loving wife, Karen, of the home.
He also leaves behind a special group to whom he was fondly known as Poppa Len. That includes daughters, Angela of Hooks, TX, Kim and husband Michael of Midlothian, TX, and Kelli of Fort Worth, TX, and grandchildren Danielle and husband Tommy of Oklahoma City, OK, Miranda of Boston, MA, Shane of Hooks, TX, Aliza and fiancé Patrick of McAllen, TX, and Sam of Austin, TX. Len is also survived by his wife’s sister Earlene and husband Jim of California and their daughters Susan, Donna and Gabby and brother Jimmy and wife Yolanda of Texas and their daughter Serena and one aunt Imogene Dial andmany dear friends.
Len proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era and retired from Department of Defense at Red River Army Depot in New Boston, TX.
