Leo Ralph Lorson

Leo Ralph Lorson passed away in Garland, TX on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the age of 68.


Leo is predeceased by his parents, Marie (Pientke) Lorson and Ralph Anthony Lorson.


Leo is survived by his loving wife Phyllis of 19 years. They were married in Kansas on October 18, 1997.


Leo is lovingly remembered by his wife Phyllis of Garland, TX.; brothers Steve Lorson and William Lorson; sisters Dolores Bell, Marilyn Schmidt and Joyce Wagner; step sons Brett Baridon, Wally Maze and Thomas Maze; step daughters Christine Baridon, Sarah Berkley and Brenda Kela and loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.


Leo was born in Salina, Kansas in 1947. He graduated from Hope Rural High School in 1965. Leo attended Hutchinson Junior College for a year and a half. He went on to serve as an EM2 in the United States Navy for 4 years where he received a national defense service medal; followed by 35 years of civil service in the U.S. Department of Defense at Pearl Harbor. He worked as Maintenance Supervisor at the Carroll Company in Garland, Texas for 12 years.


Leo enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing cards, as well as cold beer, cigars, Crown Royal, grilling (meat only), woodworking, tinkering around and spending time with his friends and family.


The visitation will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048 on November 6, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.


The memorial service will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048 on November 7, 2016 at 10:00 am with Reverend Frank Rahm officiating.


Funeral service will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211 on November 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Frank Rahm officiating. (Follow signs to “Lane C” upon arrival to cemetery. Please be in the lane by 1:45 p.m.)
