76, of Wylie, Texas, passed away May 7, 2013 in Wylie, Texas. She was born December 1, 1936 in Hunt County, Texas to Earl and Hazel Crawford.
Laverne was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William Crawford and James Crawford.
She is survived her husband of fifty-nine years, Joe Samples; three sons, Ronnie Samples and his wife, Maggie, Glen Samples and his wife, Gladys, and Gary Samples and his wife, Vicki; daughter, Kathy Bedard and her husband, Terry; five gradnchildren, Shawna Hughes, Lyle Samples and his wife, Breanne, Wade Bedard, Rachel Bedard, and Valorie Samples; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Crawford and his wife, Joan; and sister, Delane Lasater.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 10, 2013 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048.
Service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, May 11, 2013 at First Baptist Church Sachse, 2412 3rd Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. Reverend Billy Harris and Reverend Josh King officiating.
Interment will follow in Sachse Cemetery, Sachse, Texas.
