Laura Talley Todd

On, November 27, 2012 Laura Todd went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born on March 24, 1932 to Harold Hugh and Lydia Estelle Talley.
Laura was raised in Garland and graduated in 1949 from Garland High School where she made many lifelong friends.
On March 5, 1951, she married M.L. Todd. Pamela was born in ’53 and Mark was born in ’55. She was employed by the Garland Morning New, Kraft Foods, Richardson ISD, and retired from the Garland ISD.
She had a true servants heart and put the needs of others before herself. She will be greatly and forever missed.
Laura was preceded in death by her son, Mark M. Todd.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, M.L. Todd; daughter, Pamela Baker and her husband, Mike; four grandchildren, April Alaniz and her husband, Alan, Brandon Baker and his wife, Debra, Corley Todd and his wife, Lori, and Casey Todd & his fiance’, Sarah Noel; honorary granddaughters, Laura Hutchison and Stephanie Ingram; and her great-grandchildren, Peyton and Kenslee Alaniz, Mikaela, Ryan and Allison Todd, Tyson and Talley Baker, and Nicholas Noel; and special lifelong friend, Fluty Coldwell.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 P.M., Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048.
Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 30, 2012 at Big Springs Baptist Church, 6538 N. Jupiter Road, Garland, Texas 75044. Pastor Greg Oppenhuis officiating. Interment will follow in Big Springs Cemetery, Garland, Texas.
