Laura Virginia Perkins, 86 years of age, from Dallas, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2011.
She was born on July 11, 1924 in Lost Creek, West Virginia to Ross & Rose Williams.
She married Lawrence Perkins on July 13, 1942. They were married for 49 years, until his passing on June 28, 1991.
Virginia & Lawrence had 6 children. Surviving children: Shirley Edwards, Larry Perkins, Michael Perkins. Children who preceded her in death: Brenda Sue Perkins, Joyce Perkins and Sherile Triplett.
Virginia had 4 siblings, surviving sister Florence Williams and 3 brothers who preceded her in death: Paul Williams, Howard Williams and Claude Williams.
Virginia has 12 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Virginia spent most of her life living in Ohio & then later on in Texas. She was a "God fearing" Christian woman who loved to read her Bible daily. She enjoyed working outside in her garden, wearing her big straw hat. She loved her grandchildren and was always there to help them out in any way they needed, whether is was just talking about something, making them something to eat, or giving them a place to sleep for the night. She always had a song in her heart, and could be heard humming or singing a Gospel song daily. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral Services will be May 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, Texas.
