Larry Luther Williams, born July 19, 1941 in Brownfield, TX, crossed over on August 22, 2012 in Garland, Texas. He was raised and educated in Hale Center, Texas. He served as a surgical tech in the U.S. Air Force. He was a recovering alcoholic since 1984, and a strong advocate of AA.
Larry was a spirit-filled Christian who ministered to everyone he encountered, particularly those in need. He was a joyful extrovert who never met a stranger, and was loved by all who came in contact with him.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Pete & Mamie Williams, and siblings Ray Williams, Max Williams, Joe Williams, and Katherine Morrow.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Williams, his children, Scott & Lara Williams of League City, Kathy Williams of Copperas Cove, Janna Price of Garland, Steve & Laura Hart of Garland, Deidra & Jason Warren of Denton, 12 adoring grandchildren, as well as 2 siblings, James Williams of Tacoma, Washington, and Barbara Taylor of Memphis, Tennessee.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
