Lanny Dwaine Tomlin of Rowlett, Texas, went into the arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior, September 23, 2023, at the age of 57. He was born on March 19, 1966 in Dallas, Texas to his loving parents, Linda Darlene Tomlin and Larry Dwaine Tomlin. Lanny was the oldest of three children, grew up in Garland, Texas amongst many family members and friends.
Lanny graduated from Garland High School, in Garland, Texas. He worked for ViaSource and GE/Sylvania as a telecommunications technician, as a contractor for AT&T. He was a skilled carpenter and a caretaker for his mother for the last seven and a half years. Lanny loved hunting and fishing, anywhere on the water anything on the water. He loved his family tremendously with all his heart and soul and he especially loved his puppy, Diggs.
Lanny was a strong Christian man and loved and knew his Lord. He loved his parents, sisters and had such great love for his many family members and friends.

Nieces and Nephews: Evan Cox, of Wylie, Texas; Josh Askew and Chelsie Reber, of Forney, Texas, and Great-Nephew Nathan Reber of Forney, Texas; Brooke Aston, Peyton Aston, and Brady Aston, of Rockwall, Texas; and Connor Brent of Charlotte, North Carolina.
