Lalita Rose Pruett of Allen, Tx; August 19, 1957.

Lita went up to heaven on Friday September 25, 2015. Her tough battle with triple negative breast cancer has come to an end and she can finally rest in peace, pain-free. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family. Lita's devotion to her family and her firm belief in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comforted her in her final days on earth.

Lita was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and went to Oklahoma State University for a bachelor's degree in accounting. Here she met her husband Marshall Pruett and they married May 22, 1981.

Lita and Marshall raised their family in Allen, Texas. She full-heartedly devoted her time to her three children; Kate, Tina, and Ryan. She served as a Girl Scout leader, devoted mom, loving wife and cherished friend. She was known for her sweet smile, contagious laugh, positive energy and very generous heart.
Lita was a dedicated Girl Scout and continued to serve the Girl Scout community long after her two daughters graduated high school. Her Girl Scout family knew her as LadyBug, which was her camp name. She devoted numerous week nights & weekends camping, scrapbooking & Compass Kaper-ing with Rita and the Girl Scout Community. She was the definition of a Girl Scout, and loved by her Girl Scout family.
Her 34 year career as an accountant covered many realms of the business with increasing levels of responsibility, and various companies along the way. For the past 18 years she served as Area Manager Purchasing at AT&T. She was admired & respected for her natural leadership skills. She enjoyed her job and was fortunate to count many friends among her coworkers
She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending weddings, family reunions & traveling to visit with loved ones on every holiday occasion. Her family knew her as Lita Bug, coined by her grandpa Johnson. She spent her free time sewing, reading, gardening, biking around to explore garage sales with her friend Paula, and traveling country with her husband Marshall. She touched many lives and will be forever remembered.

Lita was preceded in death by her father Robert Johnson.

Lita is survived by her husband Marshall Pruett, two Daughters Kate & Tina Pruett, Son Ryan Pruett, Daughter-in-law Lauren Pruett, Grand-Daughter Halyn Pruett, Parents Bob & Peggy Newton, Brothers Randy Johnson, Rob Johnson, Rusty Johnson & Dave Newton, Sister Robbin Newton and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, October 1st, 2015 at:
Chase Oaks Church
201 Legacy Drive
Plano, Texas 75023
