Kevin Braswell

November 16, 1981 — September 16, 2016

Kevin was a self-proclaimed "jack-of-all trades and master of none" and always seeking greater knowledge. More importantly to Kevin, though, he was a father, and on September 16, 2016 he passed away from cardiac arrest.

Kevin was born on November 16, 1981 to Gibson Braswell, Jr and Rita Keys at Hunt County Regional hospital in Greenville, Tx.

Kevin Braswell's celebration of life service will be this Tuesday September 20 at 11am at the Altoga Baptist Church. Kevin always voiced that he didn't want people standing over him crying when he passed. He wants us to remember all the good times, all of his silliness, all of his craziness, his addictive smile, the eternal love he had for his kids, they were his world.

As a young man, Kevin was a fiercely independent person who wanted to go his own way and do his own thing, but whatever his own thing was or whatever took his fancy, he always gave it his best shot. He would work hard and was willing and able to do the best he could in whatever challenge he was faced with. He always knew that God had a plan for him and he would let everyone know that his life became complete with his son Kevin Jr, now 16 and daughter Kylie, now 12, whom he shared with former spouse, Heidi Young. Watching his kids grow up gave him a pride that he wanted to share with the whole community. He did work a lot but he always tried his best to attend everything from parent/ teacher conferences to FFA meetings, basketball practice & games, baseball and softball games, even helping build a fence for a pig and raising that pig until it weighed almost 600 lbs. He never turned down a chance to play catch or practice volleyball. He has taken his kids camping, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, he made a point to teach them life skills that they will forever remember. He gave them many great memories. He remained happily settled at the Braswell family farm in Altoga, Tx with girlfriend Michelle Harmon, for the last few years.

Kevin was a friend to so many people and touched so many lives in so many different ways.

A genuine, sincere, friendly fun loving man. He could be serious when he needed to be and great fun when he didn't.

A reliable, hard-working, kind and considerate man.

Kevin was very versatile in the area of home improvements, he could turn his hand in a professional manner to tasks that would leave most people totally perplexed, and he was always willing to help his family and friends with their little jobs around the house. Nothing was too much trouble as long as he was with his best friend and pastor Brother Roger.

Many people come and go in our lives, but very few make a worthwhile memorable impression.
