Kenneth Gary Roye

Kenneth Gary Roye went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 7th, 2018. at the age of 72. He was born on October 29th, 1945, in Idalou, Texas, to H.R. and Glenna Roye. He was one of ten children, and was preceded in death by both of his parents, three sisters, and two brothers. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Roye; his daughter Angela Curtis and husband Scott of Melissa, Texas; daughter Trisha Richardson and husband Derek of Sachse, Texas; and son Kenneth Roye II of Paris, Texas as well as two granddaughters: Lexi Richardson & Briahnna Curtis; one grandson, Emery Curtis; and one great grandson, Oliver Curtis. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth and Judy raised their family in Garland, Texas after moving there shortly after marrying on August 28th, 1964. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Garland for many years where he served as a Deacon. He retired from Kraft Food Service in 2003 after 35 years of service.
He will be greatly missed and has left a huge void in the hearts of all those that knew him.
There will be a visitation/viewing on Friday, October 12th, 2018 from 6 to 8pm at Charles W.Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse, Texas.
