Kenneth Gregg Robison passed away on September 6, 2018, in the company of his daughter and son in law, Rocio and Brian Espinel.
Ken was born October 14, 1951 to his parents Marjorie Deatz Robison and Harold Frank Robison, in Kansas City, Missouri, and was the youngest of three brothers. His oldest brother, Richard, was 10 years older, and his middle brother, Tom, was 5 years older. He grew up in Merriam, Kansas and then Overland Park, Kansas, attending the Shawnee Mission schools. He continued to live and work in Overland Park until, in 1984, he moved to Texas and settled in the Dallas area where he married and divorced. He was a very loving and devoted dad to his "Munchkin", Rocio.
Although he resided in Texas for more than half his life, Ken remained a loyal fan of all Kansas sports teams and especially loved the KU Jayhawks. He loved to listen to Classic Rock, was an avid movie watcher and collector, rescued and cared for homeless cats, and had a vast knowledge of historical data and events which he loved sharing with others. Ken also had a passion for fishing and dreamed of one day building a lakeside cabin and moving to Big Sandy Lake in Minnesota, where he learned to fish as a child on his grandparents' resort.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Rocio Espinel, son in law, Brian Espinel, 2 grandchildren, Alexa and Aric Espinel, his brother Tom, and sister in law Barbara, along with 7 great-nieces and nephews (grandchildren of Tom and Barbara), his closest friends and roommates, Jack Reingold and Rick Ellsworth, and Daisy (his cat).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie and Harold, and by his oldest brother Richard.
His family, friends, and loved ones miss him dearly.
A memorial will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Charles W. Smith and Sons, 2925 East 5th Street, Sachse, TX 75048.
