Kenneth Wayne Potter, 58, of Terrell, Texas, passed peacefully away at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 4, 2014. Ken was born on April 18, 1956 to JB and Mary Potter. Ken is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathy Potter; son, David Colegrove of Lewisville, TX; daughter, Amy and husband Chris Bruton of Mansfield, TX; and daughter Kari and husband Ryan Parker of Heartland, TX as well as seven grandchildren, Payton, Morgan, Garrett, John, Haley, Alexandra and Mason; sister Pam and husband Joe Saucedo; sister Cyndi Diles of Waco, TX; Sister in law, Terry Potter of Garland, TX and several nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his mother and father, JB Potter and Mary Potter, and brother Jim Potter.
Ken was a simple man, a t shirt and jean kind of person. He did what he could for others. He had a love for motorcycles and loved to ride as often as he could. He had a love for things in life that were God's creations. He was a loving husband, brother, dad and papa.
The family will receive friends and family at a visitation to take place on Sunday, September 7th, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ken will take place Monday, September 8, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
