The Lord called home Kenneth Ray Ball on July 3,2020. He was born on September 20, 1931 in Plano, Texas to the late Clay Hulen Ball and Lucille Tripp Ball. He is survived by his wife, Claudia; son, Mike Ball and wife, Lisa of Melissa, Texas; daughter, Charlotte Spivey and husband Kevin of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren, Travis and Jessica Ball, and Kacey and Braeden Spivey; his sister, Wanda Hugenroth of Menifee, California; brother-in-law, Charles Tilley of Princeton, Texas; and many other loving family and friends.
Kenneth graduated from Princeton High School in 1949 and married Claudia in 1950. After serving in the United States army, he graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He accepted a position with Texas Power & Light (which later became Oncor) and spent his entire career with the company.
Above all, Kenneth's greatest joy was his family and extended family, including friends and neighbors who were "like family". He loved having everyone visit for annual events such as Easter egg hunts, July 4th fireworks, Thanksgiving, Christmas and birthday celebrations. He enjoyed boating and fishing, and while living in Melissa, he enjoyed golfing with his buddies at Hurricane Creek Golf Club. In addition to attending his grandchildren's activities, Kenneth never had time to be bored while tending to his property, cows and various projects such as refurbishing an antique tractor. While physically able, he always looked forward to his annual trips to visit his beloved sisters in California.
Kenneth's love, support and provision for his family is sure to be impactful for years to come. Those who knew him are grateful to love and have been loved by him. He will be greatly missed
