Ken Vitosh

66, of Garland, Texas, passed away November 28, 2012 in Garland, Texas. Ken was born July 6, 1946 in Beatrice, Nebraska and raised in Edinburg, Texas.

In 1963, he moved to Atoka, Oklahoma and graduated from Atoka High School in 1964. He was a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State and went on to earn a degree in Accounting from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Ken was a 46 year employee of Hunt Oil Company in Dallas, where he started in 1969 and retired as Controller In 2005. He was a member of South Garland Baptist Church.

Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother as well as a great friend to all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death his parents, Vernon and Margaret Vitosh.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Dean Vitosh; two daughters, Lynn Ann Vitosh and Carrie Lee Bartell and her husband, Brian; two sons, Travis James Vitosh and his wife, Amy and Clint Allen Vitosh; five grandchildren, Isabelle Bartell, Houston Dean Bartell, Grace Bartell, Corey James Vitosh, and David Dean Vitosh; sister, Carol Bateman; and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home.

Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 3, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. Reverend Larry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Sachse Cemetery, Sachse, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to South Garland Baptist Church, 1330 E. Centerville Road, Garland, Texas 75041.
