Keith Milford Hensel

Keith Milford Hensel, Jr., age 65, passed away peacefully in his home in Garland, Texas. Keith was born on February 18, 1949 in Enid, Oklahoma to the parents of Keith Hensel Sr. and Georgia Brownfield Hensel.
Keith was in optical sales and manufacturing throughout his professional career. He brightened the day of every person he met through his genuine friendliness. He and his father previously owned Hensel Optical in Oklahoma City and is well known by Opticians and Optical Labs throughout the South Central United States. Since 2008, Keith has been a Sales Representative with Luzerne Optical Laboratories of Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Keith is preceded in death by both of his parents.
Keith is survived by his wife Sally Thorpe Hensel. Keith and Sally were high school sweethearts and were married for over 43 years. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Drew Michael and Krista Hensel of Minneapolis; his son and daughter-in-law John Duncan and Shanda Hensel of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Cally, Blake and Leslie; and his sister, Linda Hays of Enid, Oklahoma.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on October 16, 2014 at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home located at 2925 5th St., Sachse, Texas, 75048. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in celebration of his life to the American Diabetes Association www.donations.diabetes.org, and/or to the American Heart Association www.heart.og/donate.
