Funeral services for Kaye Patterson will commence at 2:00PM on Friday, October 8, 2021, in the Chapel at Eastgate Funeral Home.
Kaye Wilma Patterson was born February 5, 1954, in West Hartford, Connecticut to parents Wilmer and Catherine Hebbard. She passed this life on September 29, 2021, in Fort Worth Texas.
Kaye moved to Texas with her family when she was 16 years old and soon married and began having children. Kaye loved being a mother and grandmother as she had six children and thirteen grandchildren, her pride and joy! A stay-at-home mom most of her life, she returned to school following the birth of her youngest child and earned her Associates degree from Indian Hills College, Ottumwa, Iowa. Fulfilling her calling, Kaye became a licensed Funeral Director in the state of Texas and in 2006, along with husband David, she founded, owned, and operated Global Mortuary Affairs in Mesquite Texas. Kaye faithfully served in the industry until retiring to none other than Santa Clause, Indiana… America's Christmas Hometown, another dreamed fulfilled. She recently returned to Texas to be close to her children.
Family meant everything to Kaye, "God and family" is what she believed. She loved weddings, babies and family gatherings. She was always so proud of her children and would do anything for them. Being a mother was truly one of her greatest joys. She loved to laugh and enjoy life! Her many hobbies included reading, writing (once a columnist for the Eldon Newspaper), traveling, gambling, auctioning and yard sales. In recent years she looked forward to her annual "Camp Grandma" where she enjoyed camping with her grandchildren each summer. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She absolutely loved everything about Christmas from shopping on Black Friday to Christmas movies, decorating, and of course spending the holidays with her family! Kaye had a strong will and her own way of doing things. Kaye lived a lot of life but if you sat with her as she had a cigarette and cup of coffee, she'd be more interested in what was going on in yours.
Kaye was preceded in death by her father, Wilmer Hebbard and Favorite Aunt and Uncle, Frances and Earl Harris.
Left to share her story is: her mother, Catherine Hebbard; children, Sherilyn (Don) Hoffner, Susan (Billy) Shine, Sonya Wade, Scott (Amanda) Hancock, Sande (Teagon) Tidwell, Sharla (Amber), and Drew (Gabrielle) Patterson; siblings Don Hebbard and Vicki Williams; and her grandchildren Azlaera, Whitney, Jenna, Aliyah, Lucas, Elizabeth, Emily, Kylie, Katie, Hunter, Dakota, Dawson, Sera, Daniel, and Eva.
The memories you created will forever be cherished.
