Kartari, 93 years old, was resting peacefully with family when she took her last breath. While it is a tremendous loss for the family, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited in Heaven with her loved ones and friends from long ago as well as with Jesus!
Her loving spirit, welcoming arms, and famous chicken curry truly made this a better place every day she was with us, and she will be terribly missed.
She is survived by six children, 5 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Kartari was born and raised in India as a Christian. She was the only girl of the three children her parents had. Growing up she always prayed for a “God-fearing” husband, and when she met Dualat for the first time, on their wedding day, she praised God proclaiming that her prayers had truly been answered. The restis history!
Her passion for doing Christ’s work led her to help Christian Missionaries as they spread the Word throughout nearby villages. She and Dualat became known for their warm hearts and willingness to serve others. It is said that they never missed a day of church!
In 1984 Kartari and her husband Dualat moved to the USA with their son Mehboob, settling in Dallas TX. They were active members of UCC, where she became known as a mother to all. She continued to Worship and Serve the Lord throughout the rest of her long life.
