Julie Wilson, a woman of tenacity and quiet strength, fought with courage and grace before losing her battle with cancer. She passed peacefully in her sleep on an early Tuesday morning, with her husband by her side, a steward of love and comfort as she ended one journey, and began another.
She is survived by her husband, Jeremy, with whom she shared the last 17 years of her life in love, respect, and adoration, and a blended family of four children who all loved her as a mother: Kathryn Isoda, Joshua Wilson, Shanna Wilson, and Betty Smith.
Julie showed her feelings for others by the things she did—the meals she cooked, the gifts she gave, and the countless quiet labors and sentiments that spoke louder than words. She often wore her emotions on her face, coupled with a wry humor and sharp tongue and wit that often left those around her either amused or on edge, or sometimes even both at once.
She leaves us with a legacy that is both subtle and unforgettable, having lived her life by one simple mantra:
“And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.” She takes with her all of our love and more.
