Joycelyn Kay Whittington

Joycelyn Kay Whittington was born June 14, 1947, in Goodwell, Oklahoma, to Mary and A G Grooms. She opened her eyes in Heaven the evening of December 15, 2024.

Joycelyn married Richard Whittington on March 15, 1963 and they welcomed daughters Ginger and Robin. Through their nearly 62 years of marriage, Joycelyn and Richard were the image of true, unconditional, and everlasting love. 

Over the last 13 years, Joycelyn called Clovis, New Mexico home, and she will be dearly missed by her sweet group of friends and church family.

Also left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard, her daughters, Ginger Whittington (Michael Jenkins); and Robin Oelkers (John), grandchildren, Cheyenne Ortiz (Andrew); and Collin Oelkers, as well as her brothers, Brad Grooms; Randy Grooms (Linda); and Rodney Foutz.

Services will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Central Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico. Visitation is 11:00am - 12:00pm (MT), and the memorial service will begin at 12:00pm.
