Joyce Annette (Shuffield) Williams, 68, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012. Joyce, the daughter of Harmon Wilson Shuffield and Lillie Lee (Crabb) Shuffield, was born in El Campo, Texas on December 5, 1944. Joyce grew up in Midland, Texas. She graduated from Midland High School in 1963. She married Kenneth Douglas Williams on November 9, 1962, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2012. Joyce was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, homemaker, and was an avid reader and poet.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Glenda Shuffield Booth. She is survived by her husband, Ken, of McKinney, Texas; children, Michael of Bellingham, Washington; Shari Waggoner and husband, Martin, of Corinth, Texas; James and wife Christine, of Cleveland, Tennessee; Kendria Alexander and husband, Billy, of Caddo Mills, Texas; grandchildren, Zachary Waggoner, Chelsey Waggoner, Jacob Alexander, Jackie Alexander, Aidan Williams, Sean Williams, and Quinlan Williams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to her charity of choice; the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. http://www.lls.org/
A memorial service will be held on March 9, 2013, 1:00 PM, at
Faith Bible Church, 3301 Highway 66, Caddo Mills, Texas.
