Joyce Marie Davis

Funeral services for Joyce Marie Davis of Garland, Texas, will begin at 10:30AM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the New Life Church in Garland, Texas. Bishop B E and Reverend Shannon Stanley will serve as Officiants. Interment will be at 2PM in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-8PM Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in the Chapel at Eastgate Funeral Home.

Joyce Marie Wagner Davis made her homegoing on October 10, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born on November 26, 1937, in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, to Charlie and Kathryn Wagner.

Joyce was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Ernest Davis; her son, Michael Davis; her grandson, Keith Davis; and her four brothers Junior, James, Delbert and Troy Wagner.

Joyce is survived by: her two daughters Rita Davis and Sherry (Al Bradley) Varnell, both of Garland, Texas; her son, James Davis of Azle, Texas; seven of her eight grandchildren Jessica Varnell, Landon Varnell, Ashton Varnell, Christina Renois, Denise Norwood, Tashia Goldman and Jennifer Austin; sixteen great-grandchildren Justin Michael, Hayden Varnell, Kyndal Varnell, Cody Varnell and Weston Varnell, Alyssia Renois, Mason Norwood, Dillon Norwood, Shawn Davis, Jonathan Davis and Preston Davis, Hunter Goldman, Logan Goldman, River Goldman, Joseph Austin and Jessica Austin; and her sister, Jean Graves of Garland.

Joyce loved and served her God with all her heart and instilled that love and truth into her children and grandchildren. After Jesus, Joyce's family was everything. She also had a passion and talent for exceptional cooking and lived to serve others.
