Joy Ann West, age 70, of Wylie, Texas, passed away March 21, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. She was born in Jacksonville, Texas to Edgar and Naomi Roper.
Joy grew up in Jacksonville, Texas. After graduating from Jacksonville High School in 1962, she continued her education in Accounting.
Joy enjoyed gardening and photography but her world was her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jamie Brashear; her father, Edgar Roper; and brother, Thomas Roper.
Joy is survived by her two daughters, Kimberlie Brashear and her ex-husband, Bob and Krystal Roberts and her husband, Justin; her mother, Naomi Roper; two grandsons, Christopher Brashear and Westin Roberts; two granddaughters, Meredith Brashear and Kennedy Roberts; the father of her daughters, Joe West; five brothers, Clarence Roper, James Roper, Howard Roper, Richard Roper, and David Roper; sister, Wanda Blackwelder; and numerous other family members.
