Joy Layne Post lost her courageous battle with cancer in her home in Sachse, closely surrounded by her loved ones, on January 14, 2019. Joy was born on November 11, 1943, in Paris, Texas, to Rufus Andrew Coleman Jr. and Lucy Pauline Coleman. Joy became known as Mimi over the years by her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked 22 years at Hallmark/Avnet Electronics, making a name for herself in the sales industry. She was very active in her church, Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Sachse, Texas. She helped start the Faith Circle group, taught Sunday school, vacation bible school, and was the church liturgist. Joy was very proud of her husband, family and friends, and always put others before herself.

Joy is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Lucy Coleman, and sister Dortha Ann McDonald. Her surviving siblings are her sister; Carol Swindale and husband Marlin; and her brother, Andy Coleman.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Berry Douglas Post; daughter Paula Johnson and husband Rusty; daughter Lisa Agee; grandchildren Russell Johnson and wife Catherine; Allison Allee and husband Jameson; Brady Johnson; and Jacob Daniel; great-granddaughter Aubrey Allee; and many neices, nephews, and cousins.

Her memorial service will be held Friday, January 25th, at 2:00 P.M. at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse, Texas.
