Joy McKee Gorder

Joy McKee Gorder was born on May 30, 1923 in Durant, Oklahoma. She passed away April 7, 2011 quietly and peacefully at Baylor Hospital in Garland, Texas.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents Ward and Roxie McKee, sister Fran, brother David, husband Floran, son David, daughter Cecilia, and granddaughter Kaci.
Her surviving children are Debbie and spouse Faouzi, Genie, Jeff, Cindy, Wayne and spouse Michele.
Joy is also survived by five grandchildren, Garrett, Dylan, Amy, Alexa, Adam and two great grandchildren.
Joy was a loving Mother, devoted Wife, Sister, Daughter, and a beloved Grandmother. She lived a simple life and worked hard. She loved children, animals, and nature. She once said "if I came back as an animal it would be a bird because I could fly anywhere I want and be free."
We love and miss her and now she is with our Heavenly Father. We love you Mother, rest in peace.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Chapel, 2925 Fifth Street at Hwy 78 in Sachse, Texas 75048.
