Jose (Joe/Tito) Manuel Viquez Jr., beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on July 19, 2024, in Dallas, TX. He was born on February 9, 1978, in San Jose, Costa Rica, to José Manuel Viquez Sr. and Ruth Hernandez Viquez.


Joe is survived by his loving son Jeremiah Viquez, his father José Manuel Viquez Sr., his mother Ruth Hernandez Viquez, his brothers John Viquez (Lorene) and Stanley Viquez (Sara), his sisters Rachel Vela (Saul) and Sarah McGee (Navid), and numerous nieces and nephews including Abigail Viquez, Joshua Picazo Viquez, Jacob Viquez, Adam Picazo Viquez, Prissy Viquez, Nathan Picazo Viquez, Julia Viquez, Caleb Viquez, Emma McGee and Mila McGee and great-nephews Levi Picazo, Judah Picazo, Elijah Picazo, and great-nieces Grace Picazo, Adalynn Picazo, Ava Picazo, and Selah Viquez. He was preceded in death by Jessica Herrera, mother of his son, and his grandparents Claudio Beita and Augustina Viquez, Adam Hernandez, Carmen Ramirez, and nephew Jonathan Viquez.


Joe was known for his warm personality and unconditional love for others. He was kind, charismatic, and always willing to give the shirt off his back. A natural jokester, he brought laughter and positivity wherever he went. Joe's heart overflowed with love for his family and a passion for music. Joe never complained, embodying a strong work ethic and a passion for sports. Joe was known for his unwavering kindness, deep faith in Jesus, and unending devotion to his beloved Cowboys. Joe's passion for the Cowboys was unparalleled; whether celebrating victories or weathering defeats, his loyalty to the team was a constant source of pride and joy throughout his life. Above all, his greatest joy was his son, whom he cherished beyond measure.


He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew

 

Friends and family are invited to honor Joe's life at a memorial service on Friday evening, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Homes at the location of 2343 Gage, Lavon, TX 75166. A dignified burial service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 PM.

Pero sobre todo, su mayor alegría era su hijo, a quien valoraba más que nada en el mundo.
