Jose Antonio Ramos

Jose Antonio Ramos, age 71 of McKinney, TX, passed away on June 19, 2017. He was born on September 17, 1945 in El Salvador to Jose Antonio and Juana Maria (Granados) Ramos. Jose married Irma Catalina Posada on April 19, 1975 in El Salvador. Jose loved being outdoors on his farm, working with his animals, and doing any work that involved using his hands. He was always up before the sun and outside getting a jump on his day. Jose was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and brother, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his legacy will live on through their memories that they share.

Jose is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Irma Ramos; daughter, Karla Simmons and husband, Bryan; son, Jose Ramos; grandchildren, Mattison Simmons, Giovanny Ramos, and Matthew Simmons; brothers, Luis Ramon Ramos and German Salvador Ramos; sisters, Reina Isabelle Guevara and Maria Socorro Fuentes; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Juana Ramos, and one sister, Irma Gloria Portillo.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Chapel in McKinney, with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. led by Father Alfredo Garcia.
