John Vincent Gabe

John Vincent Gabe, age 79, was born September 10, 1932 to Charles Emmett Gabe and Ruth Cleveland Vincent in Searcy, Arkansas where he met his wife of 61 years, Quinta Crozier Gabe. A great tenor, John spent many years singing in his church choir and in men’s quartets. On July 22, 2012 John went home to be with his Lord and joined his voice with the choirs of heaven.

John is survived by his wife Quinta Gabe, daughter and son-in-law Robyn and Robert Volpe, son and daughter-in-law Paul and Kelly Gabe, grandchildren Rebekah Sanders Lee and her husband Isaac Lee, David Sanders, MacKenzie Gabe, Mallorie Gabe, Madeline Gabe, and Macaulie Gabe, and great grandchildren Asher Lee and Sofia Lee. He was recently preceded in death by his son Dan Gabe.

John was a long time member of Orchard Hills Baptist Church in Garland where a memorial service in his honor will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 2:00 pm in The Morgan Chapel, 3001 Saturn Rd., Garland, TX 75041. The family requests memorial donations be made to Orchard Hills Baptist Church.
