Age 67, of Murphy, Texas, passed from this life September 6, 2011 in Lindale, Texas. He was born in Carrollton, Georgia on July 19, 1944 to John Barton and Edith Gull Fox.
John spent most of his life in the insurance business. He was an Assistant Vice President for Safeco Insurance Company and was a member of several insurance boards. He moved to Lindale in 1989 and to the Dallas area in 2003. He attended Lake Point Church in Rockwall.
John is survived by his wife Sammye Fox, sons John Barton Fox III "Bart" and wife Tonia, Jeffrey Lynn Fox "Jeff" and wife Ashley, Frederick Wayne Fox "Wayne" and wife Dawn, daughters Shelley Annette Crowder and husband Benjamin, Kelyn Lea Freudiger and husband Kevin, mother Edith Fox, sister Linda Fox Helsper, brothers William and Gordon Fox, and grandchildren Christian, Sydney, Cole, Jack, Blake and Carter Fox and Kannon Freudiger. John was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday September 10, 2011 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Sachse Chapel, 2925 Fifth Street at Highway 78 in Sachse, Texas 75048, 972-414-5050. Scotty Meades will officiate.
