John Braden Fourie

John Braden to many, or Braden to others, he was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Braden departed this life on November 6, 2018. He was a source of strength to everyone he met and was truly a bright light and inspiration in all the lives he touched. His persistent smile was a constant bright spot to all who had the pleasure to interact with him.
Braden was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 1962. He was blessed to be adopted by John and Susan Fourie and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas. Braden grew up with his beloved sister Caroline and graduated from Castleberry High School and attended the University of Texas.
Braden soon after found a passion in working in the airline industry. Initially with American Airlines, but also with Air Lingus, Alaska Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and AT&T Corporate Fleet.
Braden was married May 15, 2016 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Juzer Suratwala.
Braden is survived by husband, Juzer Suratwala. He is also survived by sister Caroline Fourie-Welch and husband Johnny Welch, nephews Bryan Burgess and Steven Nosworthy, and niece Megan Nosworthy. In addition, he is survived by mother Judy Douthit and brothers David Douthit and wife Kelly, Dane Douthit and wife Michele, and nine Douthit nieces and nephews Rachel, Benjamin, Joshua, Matthew, Hannah, Aaron, Tanner, Nicholas, and Jared. Braden was preceded in death by his parents John and Susan Fourie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Wylie United Methodist Church, 1401 F.M. 1378, Wylie, Texas 75098 on Saturday November 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
