John C. Dinger

April 16, 1927 — June 24, 2011

A native of Oklahoma and long time resident of Richardson, Texas passed from this life on Friday, June 24, 2011.

Born April 16, 1927, John enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17. After World War II, he completed high school in Tecumseh, Oklahoma and then received his Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma Baptist University.

He worked for many years as a manufacturing manager in the electronics industry before pursuing his true calling in sales.

John was a man of integrity who loved the Lord. His positive outlook and enthusiasm for life touched all who knew him.

He was a member of Trinity Bible Church in Richardson, loved to sing hymns and was involved in Chuck Colson’s Prison Ministry for many years.

An avid sportsman, John enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He had a passion for cooking and was known for his delicious smoked meats and homemade rolls which he loved to share with family and friends. John also loved playing bridge with his wife and their lifelong friends.

He is survived by Penny Dinger, his loving wife of 62 years and their 6 children: Rebekah (Russ) Feldman, John (Beate) Dinger, Van (Karen) Dinger, Suzanne (Greg) Brannan, Tim (Pam) Dinger, Melissa (Shane) Holloway, 18 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

VISITATION will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2011 at Trinity Bible Church.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2011, Trinity Bible Church. Both services will be held at Trinity Bible Church, 400 W. Campbell Rd., Richardson, Texas 75080.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorials may be made to the Trinity Bible Church, 400 W Campbell Rd., Richardson, Tx 75080
