John Michael Caine, 71, of Wylie, TX, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 22, 2021. He was born June 14, 1949 to Richard and Elizabeth Quaife Caine in Monett, MO.
John was deeply passionate about spending time and making memories with his family. His family meant more to him than anything in the world, something he would mention to pretty much anyone he met. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren and always supported them in their dreams as their Dad and Papa.
John grew up in Monett, MO and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Missouri at Columbia. He made Texas his home for over 45 years, working in the ministry and various positions in lean manufacturing, the most recent being Brinks Incorporated as Quality/Lean Director in Coppell, TX at the time of his death.
John was a gifted musician, playing in the Marching Mizzou band, at church and weddings, and many special duets with his daughter Amy accompanying him on the piano. He was a loyal Missouri Tigers fan and could always be found watching or listening to his beloved "Mizzou" and cheering them on or yelling at the opposing team. He was a true Patriot who loved his country, state, and flag. He will also lovingly be remembered as a devoted pastor, teacher, and counselor, ministering the gospel and his deep knowledge of the Bible to countless people over the years. He made an impact on many lives with his caring and gentle spirit.
John is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Edna Kennedy Caine; his son, John Britton Caine of Wylie, TX; his daughters Amy Breed Pierpont (Philip) of Houston, TX, Lisa Breed Breech (Don) of Victoria, TX, Lori Breed of Sachse, TX; grandchildren Michael David Scott of Houston, TX, Suzanne Elizabeth Scott of Dallas, TX, Brandon Douglas Wiltcher of Allen, TX, Pierce Benjamin Breech of Victoria, TX, Peyton Kennedy Breech of Austin, TX, and Kaitlin Alaina Wiltcher of Sachse, TX; brother, Timothy Quaife Caine of Sedalia, MO, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, friends from Texarkana, TX, Monett, MO, and Wylie, TX. He loved all of them dearly. John will be sorely missed by his cherished dogs Dolly and Dixie who were a source of comfort and joy to him.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service was held for immediate family on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Lakeview Cemetery, 2343 Lake Road, Lavon, TX, 75166 under the direction of Charles W. Smith and Sons, Lavon, TX. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
