Joel Edwin Peacock

Joel Edwin Peacock, born July 25, 1939, and passed away March 9, 2024, at the age of 84 of Garland, TX. Joel was born in DeKalb, TX to JC Peacock and Effie Spinks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrna of almost 52 years, his parents and his brothers Truel Peacock and Marvin Peacock and sisters Lillian Peacock, Evelyn Bowers, and Wilda O’Neal. 

Joel was a beloved husband, father, brother, and Papa. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Joel was an Army veteran.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children Joel D “Joby” Peacock, his wife Michele of Forney, TX; Vicki K Boswell and her husband Alfred of Dallas, TX; Jay Peacock and his wife Robyn of Rockwall, TX. His grandchildren Kaitlyn Bazzell, Brianna Peacock, Jamison Peacock, Joshua Peacock, Paige Peacock, and Joseph Peacock. And his great grandson Brooks Bazzell.  As well as other relatives and friends.

Joel retired from Garland Independent School District, Maintenance Department. 

Joel’s memorial Service will be at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home: 2343 Lake Rd, Lavon, TX 75166 at 2:00 pm on March 23, 2024
