Mr. Joe Ed Geren passed away on January 16, 2017 in Denton, Texas at the age of 86. Joe was born October 22, 1930 in McKinney, Texas to Thomas "Clyde" and Mamie (Dees) Geren.
Mr. Geren served in the United States Army during the Korean War, in which he earned multiple service medals including a prestigious Purple Heart for his bravery and selflessness in battle. Joe later re-enlisted into the United States Air Force where he worked his way up to Staff Sargeant, and many years later honorably retired from USAF receiving and shipping.
Joe is preceded in death by his beloved wife Margie.Joe's life will be honored at a Graveside Service Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2:00p.m. at Pecan Grove Cemetery of McKinney, Texas.
