Mrs. Joan Phyllis (Delin) Stanton, age 87, of Plano, Texas, passed away December 24, 2018. She was born June 29, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to John Robert and Virginia Dorothy (Faehnle) Delin.
Joan had a successful career at Texas Instruments for over 30 years. She was a culinary master, and took great pride in every dish she created. She was passionate about interior design and had an exceptional eye for beauty. Joan was selfless, and had an immense love for all the children in her family. She was a member of the Catholic faith, a Eucharistic minister, gave of herself through charity and was involved in many clubs and organizations within her parish.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Suzanne M. Stanton and Donna D. Reynolds; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Stanton; and sons Michael J. Stanton, III and Patrick S. Stanton.
The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 6:30 with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:30 P.M., Thursday, January 3, 2019 at St. Marks Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. Marks Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Dr., Plano, TX, 75075. Monsignor Leon Duesman, Celebrant. Interment to follow in Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, Dallas, TX.
