Jimmy Ray Jones

Born in Minden, LA on 2/6/1944 and accepted into Heaven on 3/22/2025. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Lloyd Jones, daughter Shannon Jones Vickers and her husband, Michael Vickers, son Jeffrey Wayne Jones and his wife, Daphne Jones, grandsons Aaron Michael Smith and his wife Jessica Smith, Taylor Lee Vickers and his wife Olivia Vickers, and Jonathan Wayne Jones, granddaughters Kira Marie Vickers and Haleigh Nicole Brooks and her husband Jacob Brooks and great-grandchildren Ethan, Brayden, Chloe and Grayson Smith and Jaxon and Veraleigh Brooks and many much beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by grandson John David Vickers, parents A.C. and Ida Mae Jones, brothers Durward and Glen Jones and sisters Helene Ritchie, Juanita Rogers, Shirley Mayfield and Sheila Jones. A celebration of life will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Chapel, 2925 Fifth Street, Sachse, TX on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
