Jill Furness Wulf

May 24, 1950 — January 18, 2022

Beloved mother and wife, Jill Furness Wulf (71) passed away on January 18, 2022, surrounded by family.

She entered this world with a grand arrival, not allowing her parents to make it across the bridge from Mud Lake, ID on route to Rexburg on May 24, 1950. She joined Jayne, Jolene, Kent, and Karen to complete the family for Jay and Esther Furness.

In her early childhood, she battled and overcame Polio Meningitis and did not let the growth complications stop her from helping her family on the farm even while wearing special braces and shoes

In 1968, she graduated from West Jefferson High School in Mud Lake. She then attended Ricks College for two years followed by three years at Brigham Young University, completing her bachelor's degree in Special Education. She started her career teaching in Granite School District in Salt Lake City, UT. In October of 1972, Jill met the love of her life, David LeRoy Wulf. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Ogden Temple on May 4, 1973. In the Salt Lake area, they welcomed their daughters, Miko and Naomi.

Jill happily went whenever and wherever David's military assignments took the family. During the first assignment to Fairbanks, AK, they welcomed their son, Tracy. While stationed in Sonseca, Spain, she enjoyed being the home school director for Air Force Detachment Kids. She also taught in San Antonio, TX during David's air force career.

She finished her teaching career in Richland, WA, where she pioneered a Special Education Inclusion program, for which she was recognized for by the state. The many children she taught throughout her career brought fulfillment and purpose. The children always had a special place in her heart, and she raised her own children to have that respectful consideration towards people with special needs. She took pride in the accomplishments of these children, often coached them in Special Olympics, and helped them gain jobs in the community.

Upon retirement, Jill enjoyed sharing her home with grandchildren. Jill and David moved to Texas where they could be close to their twin grandsons for the last five years.

Jill was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had many church callings in Relief Society and Children's Primary. She also enjoyed visiting many temples around the world.
She is survived by her loving husband, David LeRoy Wulf, daughters Miko Wilson and Naomi (Jarad) Wheeler, and her favorite son, Tracy (Lacey) Wulf as well as five grandchildren.

Jill is preceded in life by her parents and brother.
