Jewel Mae Vaughn, a resident of Garland, TX, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
Jewel was born on April 17, 1945, in Santa Maria, CA.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry Vaughn. Her family was her world and she leaves behind three children; Jerry Vaughn, Jr. and wife Amy; Sherri Damlow and husband Alvin; and Mark Vaughn and wife Christa. Jewel was blessed with nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind sisters; Kathy Treadaway and husband Danny; Dorothy Lewis and husband Don; and Nancy Reader, widow of James. Jewel also leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Jewel is preceded in death by parents Alma and Clifford Gould; and her brother Roy.
A lifelong homemaker, she loved her family and beautiful flowers. Her smile could light up a room. Her love of the Lord was there to see in her every word and action.
Mom, we will miss you so, and we'll ALWAYS love you!
